Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F
Heat the butter in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave for about a minute, or until it is mostly melted but not boiling
Mix the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a different bowl
Combine the brown sugar and granulated sugar in a sizable mixing bowl
After adding the melted butter to the sugars, whisk them together thoroughly
To the sugar-butter mixture, add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth
Mixing until a dough forms, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones
Once the semi-sweet chocolate chips are well mixed into the dough, fold them in
Round tablespoons of dough should be dropped, separated by about 2 inches, onto ungreased baking sheets
For 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are set but the center is still slightly soft, bake them in a preheated oven
As soon as you take the cookies out of the oven, top each one with a small pinch of flaky sea salt
After a few minutes, let the cookies cool on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to finish cooling
Savor the flavor of your homemade salted fudge cookies!
